Yay! My first VLog at Youtube. I tell you, you walk around with this unreal image of yourself in your mind's eye and until you see yourself on video, you don't realize what you REALLY look like. :)
Now I know. Yuck! Fat. FAT FAT FAT!
I started the day with a blueberry and banana and soy milk smoothie with added soy protein. I'm off to Tim Horton's for my cup of coffee and to write for a few hours. Then I get my nails done and it's off to lunch with my parents and sis and maybe my nieces. We get together each week to have lunch at our favorite lunch place -- Henry's. Usually, I have a bowl of cream soup, a grilled sandwich of some sort -- usually a turkey club with bacon and mayo. Sometimes, we have a piece of cheesecake -- mom and I split. She is a tiny bird of a woman at 128 pounds and that is what I should weigh. My dad has struggled with his weight most of his life -- thing is now he probably is only 10 more pounds than me and he is a whole 4 or 5 inchs taller! That's how fat I am. If I want to live to even be their age, I have to get my act together NOW!
My other challenge is to eat microwave low fat popcorn today instead of theatre popcorn. Will get some Orville Reddenbacher's smart pop, pop it and take a bag of it to the theatre with me when we go so I can nosh on it instead of the dread theatre popcorn with all its palm oil goodness.
I am going to get my bloodwork done on Monday to see what my cholesterol and blood sugar are before I get seriously into my diet.

Not a Great Day
Weighed in at 188.5 this morning, so that's down 1.5 pounds from what I last weighed. I didn't start the juice fast -- reboot -- today. The owner said it was best to spend a few days eating lots of fruits and veggies so you don't go cold turkey. That's what I'll do for the next two weeks -- just do fruits, veggies, and cut out the dairy, meat and fat. It will be hard but we will give it a go. Then I will start the juice fast my week off so if I get bad physical results, I will be at home anyway. I did walk and take the bus today though -- 8800 steps, which is the best record so far.
Desperate times call for desperate measures and I am desperate for a change.
Saturday is Henry's for Lunch and I am having hummus and pita, veggies and dip for lunch.
Fruit smoothie for breakfast and I small cup of coffee. Then for dinner, a tofu stir fry with broccoli and green and red peppers and brown rice. Snack is a yogourt. I will not yet give up all dairy -- I get cream in my coffee and one yogourt.
I will get Jeff to teach me how to use the juicer or will buy a new one.
My measurements:
Bust = 45
Waist = 38
Hips = 45
Tomorrow -- challenges will be lunch at Henry's and popcorn at the theatre -- going to see Planet of the Apes.
Goal - go vegetarian for two weeks, heavy on fruits and veg and beans and tofu for protein. Gradually cutting back on cream and milk and added oil. Then start the juice fast -- one green and one orange (apple and carrot) and one veggie and fruit meal with soy milk as my drink of choice, green tea and honey for my hot drink. Will give up coffee because I need cream in it.
Walk every day min 7500 steps working up to 10K.
I can do it! I HAVE TO DO IT TO LIVE!!!

My Novel
I also have a novel that is almost finished being revised. I entered a writing contest and submitted my first 250 words. I was lucky enough to have the agent ask for my first 50 pages. I am now waiting to hear back from her on whether she wants to read the whole thing, but even if she doesn't, I have done a whole new revision and feel I have improved it. I will finish revising it by next week and if she doesn't bite, I will send it out to 20 agents and give it a try. So, this is a good development in my otherwise mundane fat life.
I'll also update folks on progress with my novel.
It's exciting! She's the first agent to see my work so I look forward to her response, even if it's no thanks. It got me moving on this and for that I am happy.

Goals
My goals include losing 50-60 pounds so that I weight between 130 - 140 lbs. If I lose 1.5 pounds a week, it will take me 36 weeks to lose 55 lbs. That's nine month. By June of 2012, I should meet my goal of weighing 135, being in shape enough to wear a bikini. I am also hoping to grow my hair out 6 inches by then. I also want to get breast lift (I breastfed two babies for a total of 27 months) and need something. I am not worried about wrinkles but I might get my teeth whitened. I may have to go out into the world of dating again as my marriage is on the rocks -- do you blame my husband? I look atrocious.

Here I am in all my fat glory - Day One
See me and weep - I am FAT! Look at that blubber! I should weigh about 130 pounds and instead, I weigh in at a whopping 190! That's 60 pounds of blubber to lose. Almost half my normal weight. I am not just fat - I am obese. I am going to start on a juice and fruit fast, with added protein powder to keep me from getting too low blood sugar. I am going to walk, do weights, count steps, and do a vegetarian mostly raw food fast and diet for the next year to get into a bikini for next summer!
